This drone is not shooting high-altitude shots. Its take-off marks that our province's leading UAV aerial broadcasting technology has officially entered Sanmenxia.


This UAV has a large volume, a length of more than 2m, a height of more than 60cm and a weight of 62kg. The wings rotate and lift steadily, and the green words "aerial planting and afforestation" on both sides of the body gradually blur with the rise of height. The body is loaded with 60 kg of tree seeds, which will be sown on the mountains on the Bank of the Yellow River under the operation of UAV.


This place is the end point for swimmers to cross the Yellow River. The greening of the mountains here has long been different from that of the opposite Sanmenxia urban area, so it has also aroused the opinions of many citizens. To this end, the Forestry Department of Sanmenxia has decided to increase the greening coverage here and make the Yellow River bank green over time.


Luo Xuefeng, director of Sanmenxia Forestry Bureau, said that due to the close proximity to the Yellow River beach and the large slope of the mountains, it is also very difficult to plant manually. They decided to use the combination of UAV aerial seeding and artificial afforestation to make these areas green as soon as possible. Next year, Sanmenxia will increase the area of aerial seeding afforestation, practice the concept that green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains and green development, and make the mountains greener, the sky bluer and the water clearer.

From take-off to landing, it took only 4 minutes for the drone to spread 60 kg of seeds evenly on the hillside. In practice, the operating area of UAV in a working day can reach more than 4000 mu, which is not only accurate, but also efficient.


Huo Baomin, head of the aerial seeding station of the provincial forestry investigation and Planning Institute, said that since last June, our province has gradually explored the precise aerial seeding afforestation of UAVs. The UAV is more flexible, does not need a fixed airport and runway, and has lax technical requirements for temporary take-off and landing sites. It can fly according to the pre-designed trajectory, and the aerial seeding afforestation is more accurate. It is suitable for the design of scattered small seeding areas in our province.


This year, they plan to carry out 20000 mu of UAV aerial seeding operation in Huixian, Ruyang, Xichuan and other places. At present, the twin rotor oil powered UAV is in a leading position in China, with a seed load of about 100 kg, which is more than several times that of ordinary small UAVs.

Over the past 40 years, aerial seeding afforestation has been implemented in 39 counties (cities and districts) of 12 provincial cities, with a total area of more than 16 million mu and a cumulative effective area of nearly 5 million mu.
